Back To The Future: Prevett Heating and Cooling

After graduating from King Phillip High, earning his HVAC certification in 1976 from Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology in Boston (now closed), and with 13 years in the industry as both a tech, then eventually working his way up to service manager, Paul Prevett decided to take his career to the next level. Prevett opened his business, Prevett Refrigeration, in 1989 with one truck and a business telephone on a desk in the family's dining room. In those early days, Paul would park his truck in a highly visible location on the Foxboro Common, hoping that folks in town would see his name and call him for HVAC repairs and installations. Although Prevett Heating and Cooling still calls Foxboro home, we now serve many other communities as well, such as Wrentham, Franklin, Sharon, Easton, Mansfield, and we also cover the Weston, Newton, and Wellesley, and Dover areas as well.

Over the years, our company name has changed to reflect the nature of the work we do. Heating, air conditioning, and air quality service, installation, maintenance, and repair have become our primary focus over time. Prevett Heating and Cooling, also known as Prevett Heating & Air and Prevett HVAC, has grown and expanded into a company that prides itself on expertise in the realm of residential and commercial heating and cooling solutions, with a particular specialization in heat pumps, split systems, ductless as well as more traditional ducted systems, whole house heating and cooling options, and gas furnaces. Replacement of old or outdated equipment is also an area of specialization for Prevett. We keep ourselves up to date on trends in our industry, and we are excited to introduce our valued customers to cutting edge, innovative inverter technologies that significantly boost energy efficiency while also saving you money. For example, the Amana S and Daikin Fit are both state of the art, high efficiency systems that we can install to provide our customers with equipment that is both environmentally friendly, even as it dramatically reduces the cost of heating and cooling your home or office.

Speaking of family, we are still a family owned and operated company. Paul continues to spearhead the daily operation of the business, while his sons, Vincent and Sean have joined him at Prevett Heating and Cooling. It is an exciting time in the evolution of our organization! As advances in technology continue to influence change in the HVAC field, the importance of understanding these high-tech advances cannot be overstated. This next generation of Prevetts, both of whom have extensive backgrounds in the field of technology, in addition to their experience in HVAC, are capable of staying current with technological changes, and keeping Prevett at the forefront of our industry.

Since the days when Paul parked his first truck on Foxboro Common back in 1989, so the locals would grow to recognize our name, we have become the most highly sought after local expert in the heating, cooling, and air quality field in our area.
